Drake: I have 5 lbs of Coke under the house
Amanda: ah ha
Drake: I will go through it in about 2 days
Amanda: ah ha
Drake: I don't sleep much
Amanda: I bet you don't..

I think I need to tell my son that there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE in a Case and a Pound when it comes to Coke.

You know I was just thinking most ghost stories or mysterious happenings we hear about are hundreds of years old. Sure there are still some but not near as many as 100 years ago. Could it be that there is so much "noise" we no longer see and hear what is trying to reach us?

I highly recommend the Beautiful Creatures series to the young and old alike. I just wish I was sharing these with my girl. She would have been in love with Ethan right until John showed up I think of the parts we would have talked about, the pieces that touch my life now poems and passages littered throughout the pages. I can see the bookmark that she would make to keep her place. How I wish she was right here asking me what page I was on so we wouldn't give away what happens next. I love you my sweet girl and I miss you so much. Mommy.

I wish there was a place I could just go and destroy everything in sight. Break things. Kick walls. Throw furniture. And scream.

I post these for the friends that don't understand my swings of emotion. I know they are out of control and ugly sometimes but there are also spots of sunlight. All I can ask for is patience.Grieving the loss of a child is a journey -- it's not something that can be reduced to following steps that are listed in a book and once you go through the steps the grieving stops. There is no timetable to follow and the way we grieve is different each day. Our emotions are all over the place -- some days totally out of control, other days a bit more manageable. The only "true for all" statement that can be made is losing a child is the worst pain anyone will ever feel. Other than that, this "journey of child loss" is an unknown journey with many unknown twists, turns, and valleys. God bless every parent and family traveling this frightening, lonely journey called child loss!

I must say that my Sis handled things very well today knowing that I was in a bad place anyway she sat right beside me as one by one I touched and held pieces of a life that left us all way to soon. Not to mention how well she handled the situation when someone handed me a pair of jeans saying well these are brand new and my response was... But they are four sizes too big for me... Only to have this person look at poor Tee and say "we'll what size do you wear?" I love you sis thanks for everything you do and for not smacking her. — with Theresa Tee Soles.
