The truth is, people are the way they are for a reason. If we would take time to know their stories, we would be much more forgiving. ~ Joel Osteen

I know Mondays are not your favorite, so I just wanted to drop by and say "Hi... thinking of you and hoping today is treating you well!" I love the silverware dragonfly, by the way... what a lovely tribute to Deanna and a unique accent, too. May make one for my own garden... Lord knows I have plenty of old silverware to spare! Sending you Hugs and Much Love

Sometimes in life we have to face that blood kin doesn't always make you family or bring family doesn't mean you have to be blood kin. I'll be spending my time with the family that loves me.

Words from my Cooler Friend Coleman Smith Conner

Do you ever have the strangest feeling that you need to stop for a second and reach out to someone? I know that you and I are mostly friends because of mutual friends, but you are someone that I have always so enjoyed because of your "live life to the fullest" and "hell with it" personality! Those are wonderful qualities that I am truly glad to see starting to peek back out in some of your posts. I think those parts of YOU are why some people may be pushing you a little harder than you would like...we all miss that you, and new normals take a while for anyone to get used to. Just wanted to send you a hug and let you know that you are very important, even to some of us that are only on the periphery of your world . I wear my seatbelt EVERY time I get in the truck now and that's ENTIRELY your "fault"! Smile

Still Thinking of the Time

7/22/2013

I keep trying to remember this as I think over the huge steps I made last week and the events I attended... And the time I spent with loved ones that was so needed. I have to try to remember it IS OK to keep taking steps forward and not allow the guilt of a smile, a laugh, a hug to pull me down into a spiral of disaster. The Time Must Come

A person in the grieving process should never be rushed by others. You need to fully process your feelings and emotions, and you should not feel guilty about taking the time to do that. However, in order to proceed with healing, there will come a time when you have to say, “Enough. It is time to move on.”

Your sinful nature will resist this movement because it always wants the path of least resistance. It is easier to give in to self-pity or other negative emotions than to get involved in activities where you have deal with other people. But moving back into life is God’s plan for you, and His Spirit will help you do this

“For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want” (Galatians 5:17).

Holy Spirit, I’ve had enough. It is time to move on. Lead me forward in strength, so that I will not give in to my weakened emotional state. Amen.

Beautiful words.... While I can't be pushed and have to make the steps in my own time the steps will be made.
